We are looking for an experienced Medical Front Office Receptionist with skills and experience in a medical private practice setting. This position is with a small private practice located in La Mesa, Ca.  The role will support 3 Doctors as part of a team with Front Desk Receptionist and patient care Duties. 

This position is full time permanent.  Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 5:00

The pay rate is $16 – 18.00 hour based on experience. 

 

          Medical Front Office Receptionist qualifications:

• A Medical Receptionist with 1 – 2 or more years of recent work experience as a Medical Front Desk Receptionist or PSR in a private practice or clinic.
• Knowledge and experience with patient medical insurance plans, referrals, insurance verification and authorizations.
• Experience scheduling office visit and tests.
• Organized, self-motivated who can work independently as well as part of a team.
• Computer skills and accurate keyboarding for scheduling and EMR.

Medical Front Office Receptionist responsibilities:

• Answer phones, triage calls, take messages and schedule appointments.
• Verify referral, insurance coverage and authorization before patient visit.
• Check patients in and out at front desk.
• Collect co pays when patient insurance requires a co pay.
• Insurance authorizations and scheduling for tests as ordered by Doctor.
• Confirm next day appointments.
• Provide a professional and friendly experience in the Receptionist area for patients and vendors.
• May train to room patients, take and record vital signs.
• Other duties may be assigned by Doctor or Office Manager. 

 

The schedule is Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

The rate of pay is $16.00 – 18.00 hr. to start.
