Medical Assistant part time 

We are a San Diego based private practice looking for an experienced Medical Assistant for a part-time position, 3 days per week.  We are hiring a dedicated and self-motivated Medical Assistant to support one of our Doctors and his patients.  The Doctor specializes in interventional pain management.

This position is part time permanent.  Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.   The practice is centrally located in San Diego close to Scripps Mercy Hospital. 

Medical Assistant Requirements:

• Medical Assistant certificate.
• 2 or more years recent work experience as a Medical Assistant in a private practice or clinic with experience in clinical patient care.
• Experience with interventional pain management helpful.
• Administrative skills to support Doctor using EMR.
• Compassion and a strong commitment to first class customer service with patients and co-workers in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal & written English language communication skills.

Medical Assistant Responsibilities:

• Rooming patients, measuring vital signs, reason for visit and charting using EMR.
• Assisting Doctor with patient office visits.
• Preparing and stocking patient rooms.
• Taking telephone calls for Doctor and taking messages.
• Assist Doctor with sending electronic prescriptions.
• Other duties may be assigned by Dr. and Office Manager.

 

​The schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

The rate of pay is $18.00 to 19.00 hr. to start.  

Paid holidays and vacation pay.  401K savings plan.

We provide scrubs.  We also provide and pay for your parking.
