Medical Assistant / Cardiology Technician

 

Well established private practice needs an experienced Medical Assistant / Cardiology Technician to provide first class patient care and support one Physician and his patients.   Practice centrally located in San Diego close to Alvarado Hospital

 

Requirements:

 

·        Medical Assistant / Cardio Tech with at least 2 years recent work experience in a private practice or clinic setting

·        Strong commitment to patient care and customer service

·        Experience with Treadmills, EKG’s and Pacemakers

·        Ability to provide clinical patient care and documentation to charts

·        Bilingual Spanish speaking

 

Responsibilities:

 

·        Room patients, take and record vital signs, update and note patient medications and reason for visit

·        Assist Physician with patient office visits

·        Prepare and stock patient rooms

·        Help patients with Pacemakers and keep records

·        Responsible for testing as ordered by Dr. including treadmill and EKG

·        Provide information to patients, train and educate patients regarding office visits, procedures and preparations for procedures

·        Prescription refills

·        Other duties may be assigned by Doctor and Office Manager

 

The small private practice provides a stable and professional work environment with opportunity to work independently and make a difference.

 

Full time permanent position Monday – Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

 

The rate of pay is $15.00 – 16.00 hr. to start based on experience.

 Requirements:

  •  Medical Assistant training certificate
  • Minimum 2 years work experience as a Medical Assistant in a private practice or clinic setting with experience in pediatrics

 Responsibilities:

  • Room patients, take and record vital signs and reason for visit
  • Assist Doctors with patient office visits
  • Prepare rooms and stock with supplies
  • Provide information to patients / parents, train and educate patients / parents regarding treatment plans
  • May do occasional blood draws
  • Other duties may be assigned by Doctor and Office Manager

Well established private specialty medical practice with 1 Physician and 3 Therapists is looking for an experienced Medical Assistant to assist Doctor with clinical patient care and work as Front Desk Receptionist 

Requirements:

  •  Medical Assistant training certificate
  • Minimum 2 years work experience as a Medical Assistant in a private practice or clinic setting, urology experience a plus
  • Front desk experience with phones, appointments and check in.

 Responsibilities:

  •  Room patients, take and record vital signs and history
  • Assist Dr. with patient office visit, take notes for Doctor during office visit with patient
  • Stocking rooms with supplies
  • Assist with front desk, answer phones, schedule appointments, check patients in and out
  • Provide information to patients and new patients, train and educate patients regarding treatment plans
  • May do occasional blood draws
  • Other duties may be assigned by Doctor and Office Manager

The rate of pay is $13.50 – 15.00 hr. to start based on experience. Health, dental & vision insurance.  Paid holidays & vacation time. 401K savings plan

 The office is centrally located in San Diego close to Alvarado Hospital

  • Able to work two locations, La Jolla and Encinitas.

Responsibilities:

  • Telephone responsibilities for Doctors may include triaging calls and calling in  prescriptions.
