Orthopedic Medical Assistant – 20 hrs / week

Well established private medical practice with 5 Physicians is looking for an experienced Medical Assistant with experience in orthopedics.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years work experience as an MA in a private practice or clinic setting, strong orthopedics experience required.

Responsibilities:

  • Rooming patients, take vital signs and reason for visit
  • Assist Physician with patient care, assigned to one Physician per shift

This is a permanent part –time position.  Approx. 20 hours per week, 2 ½ days per week during Monday through Friday office hours.   Schedule may vary on a weekly basis. 

The office is centrally located in San Diego towards East County.

Insurance Authorization Specialist / Patient Advocate

 This well established and growing private practice is looking for an experienced Insurance Authorization Specialist / Patient Coordinator for specialty surgery.

  •  Part time to start working into a full time permanent position
  •  Located centrally in San Diego
  • Monday – Friday schedule, 4 – 5 hours per day
  • Heavy phone contact with Patients and Insurance Companies
  • Research patients insurance coverage and secure authorizations  
  • Coordinate care with patients and provide ongoing support and guidance
  • Authorizations for tests and procedures
  • Schedule test and procedures
  • Back up to Receptionist as time allows
  • Must be organized and self motivated to work independently

 The pay rate is approximately $15.00 – 17.00 hour to start.

This position requires at least two years of recent work experience as Medical Insurance Specialist / Patient Coordinator in a medical office or clinic setting.

 Requirements:

  •  Minimum 2 years recent work experience as a Medical Assistant in a private practice or clinic setting.
  •  Experience with back office and front office.
  •  Medical Assistant certificate.  High School graduate.

 Responsibilities:

  •  Assisting a new Physician who is joining the group with Back Office patient care  and Front Office appointment scheduling.
  •  Clinic duties include rooming patients, taking vital signs,  preparing  trays and assisting with office procedures.
  •  Preparing rooms for patients and stocking supplies.
  •  Telephone responsibilities for Doctor include screening calls, triage, message taking and schedule appointments.
  •  Other duties may be assigned.

 This is a full time permanent position.  Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.  The practice is centrally located in San Diego close to Alvarado Hospital.  This medical practice is growing and offers opportunity for personal and professional growth.

  The rate of pay is $13.00 – 14.00hr. to start based on experience.   Health dental & vision insurance; paid holidays & vacation.
