MEDICAL INSURANCE BILLER – Ophthalmology
Busy private practice with four Physicians looking for an experienced Ophthalmology Medical Insurance Biller.
Responsibilities:
- Entering charges using Medical software program.
- Submit claims to HMO, PPO and Government insurance companies for payment
- Electronic billing
- Insurance verifications and authorizations
- Follow-up and appeals on unpaid and denied claims
- Posting payments
- Balance and produce daily, weekly and month end reports
Requirements:
- At least 3 – 5 years recent work experience as a Medical Biller in private practice
- Knowledge of billing and coding for ophthalmology preferred
- Able to work independently and as a team member with billing and follow-up responsibility
- Strong computer skills with MS Office, Word, Excel and Medical billing software.
The office is centrally located in
The pay rate is $17 – 20.00 hr. to start.

Job Title: Medical Office Assistant / Billing Assistant part –time
Description:
This busy private practice with 2 Physicians is looking for an experienced Medical Office Assistant / Biller – part time. Responsible for assisting the business Office Manager and Biller with the day to day business operations and billing. Duties may include posting A/R, A/P and billing, banking, posting payroll using Paychex, assisting with contracts, credentialing and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· A minimum of 2 years recent work experience as an Office Assistant in a medical practice or clinic.
· A minimum of 2 year experience and /or training with Medical Insurance Billing.
· Medical software experience as well as MS Office, Word and Excel.
This is a part time direct hire position. Monday through Friday office hours. Potential to increase hours to full time in the future.
The pay rate is approximately $10 -11.00 per hour to start based on experience.
There is a possibility of working into a full time position with health and dental insurance, paid sick time, paid holidays, and paid vacation after the first year.
