Well established private group practice needs an experienced Clinical Medical Assistant to provide first class patient care and support one Physician and his patients. Practice centrally located in
Requirements:
· Medical Assistant with at least 2 years recent work experience as a Medical Assistant in a private practice or clinic setting
· Strong commitment to patient care and customer service
· Experience with plastic and /or cosmetic surgery preferred
· Ability to provide clinical patient care as well as scheduling
office visits and surgery
Responsibilities:
· Greet and room patients, take and record vital signs
· Assist Physician with patient office visits, set up trays and assist with office procedures
· Assist patients with follow up visits including removal of sutures and dressing changes
· Prepare rooms and stock with supplies, autoclave instruments
· Provide information to patients, train and educate patients regarding office visits, procedures and preparations for procedures
· Administrative duties including insurance authorizations, scheduling office visits and surgery scheduling
· Prescription refills
· Other duties may be assigned by Doctor and Office Manager
The practice provides a stable and professional work environment with good team work and opportunity for advancement.
Full time permanent position Monday – Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
The rate of pay is $14.00 – 17.00 hr. and up to start based on experience.

As a Medical Assistant you will be providing first class patient care as a Back Office Clinical Medical Assistant and / or a Front Office Medical Receptionist. Some positions include a combination of clinical back office and front office Receptionist duties. You will be using your clinical skills and medical practice experience, your ability to work as a team player and commitment to providing a positive environment for yourself, your employer and the patients you care for.
Medical Assistant Responsibilities
As a Medical Assistant you will be asked to:
Room patients and take vital signs
Assist Doctors with patient office visits and clinical patient care
Stock exam rooms with supplies and instruments, maintain clean and tidy rooms
Educate patients in preparation for tests and procedures
You may be responsible for getting insurance authorizations and scheduling tests
You may call in prescriptions
Medical Front Desk Receptionist Responsibilities
As a Medical Front Desk Receptionist you will be asked to:
Answer and screen telephone calls, transfer calls and take messages
Schedule patient office visits
Check patients in and out at the front desk
Collect insurance co-pays
Maintain a clean and tidy Front Office Reception area with a warm and friendly atmosphere at all times.
Job Requirements
- Medical Assistant training and graduation as a Medical Assistant
- 2 + years work experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic or private practice setting
- Basic computer skills and experience with medical office software
- Ability to multitask and work as a team player
- Strong commitment to customer service / patient care
- interpersonal and communication skills to enable staff and patients to feel comfortable an well cared for at all times
