MEDICAL INSURANCE BILLER – Ophthalmology

 

 

Busy private practice with four Physicians looking for an experienced Ophthalmology Medical Insurance Biller.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Entering charges using Medical software program. 
  • Submit claims to HMO, PPO and Government insurance companies for payment
  • Electronic billing
  • Insurance verifications and authorizations
  • Follow-up and appeals on unpaid and denied claims
  • Posting payments
  • Balance and produce daily, weekly and month end reports

 

Requirements:

  • At least 3 – 5 years recent work experience as a Medical Biller in private practice
  • Knowledge of billing and coding for ophthalmology preferred
  • Able to work independently and as a team member with billing and follow-up responsibility
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office, Word, Excel and Medical billing software.

 

 The office is centrally located in San Diego. 

 The pay rate is $17 – 20.00 hr. to start.
